HOON

about

Run Run Run was started in Guiyang, the southwest mountain land of China by Xiao Dou. All the four members of the band were different ethnic minorities. From the beginning, Run Run Run is surrounded by a mysterious nature force. In 2017, Xiao Dou moved to Beijing and finished recording with new members.

Listening to Run Run Run is akin to making your way through these subterranean labyrinths - full of winding twists and turns shrouded in endless mystery and hypnotic allure.

Run Run Run fuses the vivid minimal chord odysseys, the psychedelic menace, and the jangly pop finesse (though only just enough for your head to breach water), implanting these ideas into the chilly mountains, humid jungles, and underground caves of southern China, where mellowed-out grooves and layers of freewheeling guitar dissonance can easily sweep you away.

"HOON" is Run Run Run's debut album. From the forward-propelling keyboard of ‘Fast Forward Twice’ to the echo of the rim midway through on ‘Fireball’, it’s dizzying how many ideas the band sneaks in on their debut HOON, Like a living and breathing cavern, Run Run Run engulfs you in an embryonic sound that’s utterly ‘in the moment’, guiding listeners through undiscovered and wondrous new musical terrain.
